Starr and I did a trip with our friends at First Coast Divers with Jupiter Dive Center and saw some amazing things! We had so much fun. This was our first real drift dives and we had a blast. Footnote, Starr hit her 50th dive this trip! Congratulations to her!

This is how Starr and I spend our holidays. Blowing bubbles with our good friends on Nautical Divers aboard the R/V Explorer. We got the opportunity to dive on the SS Gulfamerica. For those who do not know this was an oil tanker sunk by a German U-Boat off the coast of Jacksonville, FL in 1942.

Paul decided he wanted to spearfish, so he went to Flippers, got himself a speargun and went out on a trip with one of the best hunters in Jacksonville.

This had been a long time coming. Starr and Paul wanted to get certified to hunt lionfish for our trips in the Caribbean. So, we went to the best guy in the area. Josh Beard with Blackbeard Scuba LLC.

Sidenote, Paul also earned his PADI Master Scuba Diver on this trip!

Yes, Paul knows his tank band came undone … lol.

One piece of being a Dive Mater Candidate with Blackbeard Scuba LLC is to learn how to do things like fill tanks and Paul got to learn from one of the best gas mixers around Matt Myers from Flippers.

Paul decided Master Scuba Diver wasn’t the highest bar to reach so he decided to begin his journey into being a PADI professional. Josh Beard and Blackbeard Scuba came to the rescue!

Starr and Paul were lucky enough to take part in the first local trip for First Coast Divers. We went to the Keys and dove with people from I.Care to learn how to restore our reefs here in Florida. This was such a great opportunity! Paul hit his 50 dives on the night dive we did. What a way to celebrate 50 dives!

Starr and Paul took the family on an awesome adventure through the Eastern Caribbean with Disney. We did some sightseeing and snorkeling. Good times were had by all!
